Waitin On A Train hails from the historically rich music area of York County, Pennsylvania. This unique sounding band churns out original and traditional tunes with an unbridled approach. The group’s catchy rhythms are mostly traditional Appalachian Mountain-influenced. Their style is genuine, their hearts are pure and their sound is fresh.

While the acoustic lineup consists of mandolin, stand-up bass and guitar, their volume can reach commanding levels that inspire the most intractable audiences.  Most performances reach a fevered pitch filled with emotion and rigor.   “I love it. It’s loud. It means something and they’re feeling it when they’re playing it…I just can’t get enough of that!” – Wichita Rutherford, the Serius/XM Radio personality describing Waitin On A Train.

The trio has performed across the mid-atlantic region since 2005 and has shared stages with a number of national and international performers. The group has recorded and self produced 4 cds and a 7” vinyl.
